5 markets have passed, as I sit here today
and have caused me warm thoughts and I wanted to say
that Mandy and I are grateful to you
who value good food and support what we do
Who take extra time and consideration
to help alter the way we see food in this nation
The communing of neighbors and friends old and new
the procurement of produce for this evenings stew
The smiles and the laughter,
the crafts and the sights
The fun of live music
The treats and delights
So we thank you so much and we thank you so very
for enjoying our flowers and our awesome strawberries
for eating our pecans and our sweet honeypops
and for making our small tent a regular stop.
It is your patronage and your understanding of how important small sustainable farms are to our collective health, that makes it a possibility for us to live a life in line with our ideals. Without your support, we could invest in a solar powered farm, and bio-fueled vehicles, years of research and trial and error, countless hours of labor, and an extreme dedication to creating a small slice of a world that we want to live in, yet it would all fall apart in the end. In a very literal way, it would be impossible for us to make the positive contributions that we are attempting to make in this world without conscious customers saying they value our work, by purchasing our products. You are truly an integral part of our farm and we are incredibly grateful to every one of you for visiting the farmer's market and for visiting our stand.
Many thanks to all of you for a wonderful welcome to the Athen's farm scene.
Sincerely Steve and Mandy

We aim to share helpful information about the botanicals and wildlife we see here everyday. We hope that this information will help you to take a closer look at your Southern backyard as well. We will of course be sharing some growing glories and pains as we delevop into an economically viable full time farm. Tips on gardening and sustainbale living will poke their heads in too.

Hey guys! It's Dawn - the Honey Pop girl from your blog. :) I just wanted to tell you that Ryan and I really enjoyed the conserves! We're having pb&c sandwiches this week. So yummy! And your strawberries didn't make it past 2pm on Saturday. They're honestly the best we've ever had.
Excited to see what new items you'll be bringing to the market because we love shopping with you!
